ALAB BOOK AWAKENING THE FILIPINOS THE LIFE OF THE OFW

The DDS United Kingdom living up to its purpose, Aims, Mission and Vision:
- An organization not only pledging its support and to protect Philippine President-elect
"In Unity there is strength"
What DDS UK officers, members of committee and supporters thought to be a simple team building and bonding weekend getaway to Nene Valley Water Ski in Wellingborough, Northampton turned into a successful event. A 34 seater bus filled with moms, dads and children alike sang their way to the campsite followed by a van and cars carrying our food supplies
No darkness of the night nor rain can hide the joy and excitement in every faces as we set up our tents that soon turned the place into a DDS UK campsite.
A welcoming sunrise and a prayer give the most wonderful feeling as we start our day, everyone gets busy preparing our food and festivities for the day!
"No letter I in the word Teamwork"
Everyone helped and the Filipino spirit is very high as young and old cheerfully shared all tasks- UNITY, BAYANIHAN, DETERMINATION, and PATRIOTISM:
What is a better way to launch ALAB?The book itself is all about the awakening of the Filipino Nationalism and the unity of all Filipinos from all walks of life around the world in supporting PRRD all for the love our Country and to pursue real change
Together we are stronger for as long as we stay united we can achieve our goals and aspirations not only for the tenure of his presidency but beyond. It is a DDS UK dream as Filipinos to set up as a good example to our youngsters as we mold them to value our culture and traditions and to remain patriotic to our homeland, our motherland the Philippines!Mabuhay DDS United Kingdom By Vice MJ

‘Ninoy would’ve been first to speak vs. drug war’ said by Drilon.

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon said on monday that the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. would have been the first to speak against the bloody war on drugs, as the nation marked the former’s 34th death anniversary.

Drilon said In a statement that Filipinos should honor Aquino by guarding the democracy that he died for.
“Let us not dishonor Ninoy’s sacrifice by trivializing human life. If Ninoy were alive today, he would have been the first to speak against the bloodbath in the name of the war on drugs,” he said.
And he added that the democracy icon would have urged Filipinos to fight for their freedom.
“If Ninoy were alive today, he would have condemned the death of a teenager, a son, a child, a mother, and a father. Ninoy valued life as much as he valued freedom,” he said.
“If he were alive today, Ninoy would have been in the forefront of the fight against police impunity and the government’s acquiescence. If Ninoy were alive today, he would have rallied every Filipino to protect the democracy and the freedom those who came before us died for,” he added.
Aquino’s nephew, Senator Bam Aquino, meanwhile, hoped that his uncle’s death anniversary would empower the Filipinos to fight for the country as he mentioned the death of 17-year-old Kian Loyd delos Santos amid the administration’s drug war.
The younger Aquino also recalled how his uncle’s death was one of the many deaths that led to a people’s revolution.
Sen.

In a speech in Davao City Friday (August 11), Duterte recalled how he wailed after a visit to a ward for cancer-stricken children when he was a mayor.

President Rodrigo Duterte may be tough when it comes to dealing with corruption and illegal drugs, but his heart easily melts when it comes to children.

He said he was moved to tears after talking to a bald 14-year-old boy who asked for a prosthetic leg.

“Nung dadaan na ako, hinawakan niya ‘yung pantalon ko. Sabi niya na, ‘Mayor, sa Monday, operahan na ako. Sabi ng doktor, putulin daw ‘yung paa ko. Tapos, at — maghingi sana ako ng pabor.’ Sabi ko, ‘Ano ‘yun, anak?’ Sabi niya, ‘Palitan mo ako ng… Bilihan mo.’— ‘palitan,’ Bisaya. Bisaya, ang ‘palitan’ is you buy. ‘Palitan mo ako ng paa,'” he explained.

After promising to buy the boy a prosthetic leg, Duterte said he headed to a bathroom to cry.

“Dumeretso ako doon, sabi ko mag-ihi ako. Actually, I cried. Wala naman na mayayabang, pagkatapos ganun kaagad ng panyo. Para ‘yung hangin, matutuyo, hindi mahalata. Eh, ‘pag macho-macho eh. Pero talagang umiyak, humagulgol ako doon ng
sandali. Buhay na ‘to,” he said.

Another instance when Duterte publicly shed tears was following his victory in the 2016 elections. He went to his parents’ tomb in Davao City and wailed as he sought guidance from them for his new job.
